Biographical/Historical Note
Dr. J. Joy Davis was an adjunct professor in the department of Communications Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies at UNC Charlotte and an adjunct professor of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality studies at Wake Forest University at the time of this interview. Dr. Davis earned her Graduate Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies and her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction – Urban Education from UNC Charlotte.
