Olga Padilla-Falto was approximately a 50-year-old woman at the time of interview, which took place virtually. She was born in Mayague, West Puerto Rico before moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. She was educated at the University of Puerto Rico and Georgetown University and was employed as a professor in the Languages, Cultures, and Translations Department at UNC Charlotte.
