Thomas W. Ross Sr., President of the University of North Carolina system from 2011 to 2016, discusses the impact of the Great Recession on the UNC system. He focuses on efforts undertaken by Chancellor Philip L. Mr. Ross was a 65-year-old man at the time of the interview, which took place by phone. He was born in Greensboro, NC in 1950. He was educated at Davidson College and The North Carolina School of Law and was employed as an attorney, President of Davidson College from 2007-2011, and President of The University of North Carolina system from 2011-2016.
