James and Mary Frances Forrester were interviewed in their home in Stanley, North Carolina. James Forrester was a 66-year-old man at the time of interview. He was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1937. He earned a medical degree from Wake Forest University and a master’s degree in Public Health and Preventative Medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Forrester was employed as a physician and as a North Carolina state senator. Mary Frances Forrester was a 64-year-old woman at the time of interview. She was born in Wilmington, North Carolina in 1938. She was employed as a cytotechnologist and a homemaker.
