Description
Dorothy "Dot" Eagle and Helen Suther describe their experiences as seasonal workers on Frank Patterson's farm in Rowan County, North Carolina. They discuss their work crating and packing tomatoes and how the amount of work varies depending on how the crops turn out. Both interviewees are in their 80s, and they explain that they enjoy how the work gets them out of the house. Ms. Eagle and Ms. Suther also discuss their own properties, and express their desires for their land to not be sold and developed and for their community to remain rural.
