UNC Charlotte student Kylie Johnson discusses her experience in 2020 amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as in the setting of racial injustices across the nation, mainly focused in Charlotte and Mooresville, North Carolina. Topics discussed include her experience transitioning from in-person to online classes, her experience being quarantined for the Coronavirus, her band and her family's experiences during the pandemic, and how the pandemic has impacted her life in 2020 and going forward into 2021.

Biographical/Historical Note

Kylie Johnson was a 20-year-old woman at the time of interview, which took place remotely via Zoom. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, in 2000. She was educated at UNC Charlotte, and was employed as a musician in a rock cover band based in Huntersville, North Carolina called Unknown Artists.
