Description

In this second of three interviews, former newspaper columnist Eudora Garrison talks about her career as a food editor for the Charlotte Observer during the 1960s and 1970s. She describes the general environment of her workplace and how she believes that standards in appearance and workplace culture have changed over time. She also describes her experience as a woman working in a male-dominated profession and talks about some of the other women who worked for the Observer. She further discusses gender attitudes at the newspaper and what equal rights for women means to her.
