Titus Lovell Ivory discusses his enthusiasm and participation in sports, both football and basketball. He describes his participation in sports since he was a child and recalls the various athletes he has encountered, from growing up playing street-ball to his college career. Mr. Ivory, an African American, played high school and college sports in segregated schools, and discusses the differences between his experiences with athletics and education and those of his sons. He repeatedly emphasizes the importance of education as the top priority for himself and his sons. He explains the ways his father influenced his participation and how he in turn influences his sons, Titus Ivory Jr. and Terrell Ivory. Both sons also express their involvement and passion for sports, particularly basketball.
