Aldridge Kirk "Doc" Hardee discusses his career and business, Hardee's Pharmacy in Charlotte, North Carolina, and his connection with the family of Reverend Billy Graham. He describes his drug store, including the soda fountain, lunch counter, and retail services, and reflects on how customers's habits and the role of pharmacists changed over time. One of Mr. Hardee's regular patrons was Mr. Frank Graham, father of the Reverend Billy Graham. Mr. Hardee recalls personal tidbits about the elder Graham such as his transportation preferences, farm, and mode of dress, and offers general information about the Graham family.

Aldridge Kirk "Doc" Hardee was an 82-year-old man at the time of interview, which took place in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was born in Graham, North Carolina in 1913. He was employed as a pharmacist and owned Hardee’s Pharmacy in Charlotte.
