In this last of three interviews, Floyd "Chunk" Simmons discusses his activities after serving in World War II, including his time in the Olympics and in Hollywood as an actor. After the war, Mr. Simmons attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he studied geology and played football, but he wasn\u2019t happy, so he dropped out. In March 1948, he moved to California and started training to compete in the decathlon at the Olympics. Mr. Simmons discusses competing in and winning the bronze medal at the 1948 London Olympics and the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. After competing in the Olympics, he signed with Paramount Pictures, acted in South Pacific, and ran in the same circle as Clint Eastwood. In 1965, Mr. Simmoms moved back to Charlotte, North Carolina, and started a photography business. He also discusses how he felt after the war ended.
