Biographical/Historical Note
Marion W. Boyd was a 68-year-old woman at the time of interview, which took place in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born in Roxboro, North Carolina in 1911. She graduated from North Carolina College for Negroes in Durham (now known as North Carolina Central University) and was employed as a teacher and a college professor at Barber-Scotia College.
