Description

Johnny C. Taylor Jr. recounts his education and his career as a corporate lawyer. He speaks about discrimination in corporate America he has faced as an African American, and how he has handled it. He also discusses his volunteer work giving back to the community and helping African American youth while on the board of the National Conference for Community and Justice. He concludes by giving advice to black entrepreneurs on how to succeed.

Johnny C. Taylor Jr. was a 35-year-old man at the time of interview, which took place in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1968. Taylor was educated at the University of Miami and Drake University. He was employed as a corporate lawyer and chief legal officer for Compass Group USA.
