James L. Ross II discusses his life growing up in Charlotte, his career, and participating in the African American Civil Rights Movement in North Carolina. Mr. Ross describes his role working for the Charlotte Bureau of Employment and Training during the 1960s-1980s to provide sensitivity training to employees of various organizations, including the Charlotte Police Department, to combat discrimination in Charlotte.
