Cedric Thomas shares his experiences as the executive program director at the McCrorey YMCA in Charlotte, North Carolina beginning in 1990. He discusses how the YMCA implements Christian principles into their programs, provides activities for its members through every phase of their lives from childhood to seniority, and how their basketball program emphasises the importance of teamwork and other key moral values for adolescent members. Mr. Thomas is particularly proud of how the YMCA supports troubled youths on probation by providing them with free summer memberships, where they often participate in sports.
